2026 Practice Schedule
Swimmers will be grouped by age and ability. If you are unsure which group is best for your child, please choose based on age—the coaches will make any adjustments as needed.
Important: If your child is not yet comfortable swimming independently the length of the pool, please attend evening practices only.
PRACTICE GROUPINGS
Pre-P1 - Only for young swimmers who cannot comfortably swim the length of the pool independently. Only evening option available. Once your child can swim the length comfortably and unassisted, they can move to P1.
P1 (8 & Under)
Swimmers comfortable swimming one length of the pool. Focus on freestyle, backstroke, and introduction to breaststroke and butterfly.
P2 (Ages 9–10)
Swimmers comfortable swimming two consecutive lengths. Focus on endurance and legal technique in all four strokes.
P3 (Ages 11–12)
Swimmers comfortable swimming four lengths. Continued development of technique and endurance across all strokes.
P4 (Ages 13–18)
Swimmers comfortable swimming eight lengths and proficient in all four strokes
Pre-Season AFTERNOON-ONLY Practices (Beginning May 18; no practice on Fridays)
- P1: 5:00-5:30 p.m.
- P2: 5:30-6:15 p.m.
- P3: 6:15-7:00 p.m.
- P4: 7:00-7:45 p.m.
In-Season Practices (Beginning June 1; only morning practice on Fridays)
Morning Practices:
- P4: 8:30-9:30 a.m.
- P3: 9:30-10:15 a.m.
- P2: 10:15-11:00 a.m.
- P1: 11:00-11:30 a.m.
Evening Practices:
- Pre-P1: 4:30-5:00 p.m.
- P1: 5:00-5:30 p.m.
- P2: 5:30-6:15 p.m.
- P3: 6:15-7:00 p.m.
- P4: 7:00-7:45 p.m.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Coaches will help place swimmers in the appropriate group
- Swimmers are encouraged to try their best and have fun
- Improvement happens throughout the season—no experience required beyond basic swimming ability
- Practices focus on skill development, endurance, and team building
