CHAMPS Heat Sheets, Warm-Up Times & Final Reminders

Hello Barracuda Families,

CHAMPS is almost here! We are so excited to cheer on our Barracudas as they wrap up an incredible season. Attached to this email are the heat sheets for all four CHAMPS sessions, along with the spectator seating map. Please take a few minutes to review them and note when your swimmer is competing.

Please plan to arrive early enough for your swimmer to check in with the coaches and be ready for warm-ups.

  • Session 1 (8 & Under): Warm-ups begin at 8:30 a.m.
  • Session 2 (9–10): Warm-ups begin at 1:50 p.m.

Watch CHAMPS Live!
Can't make it to SwimRVA or have family cheering from afar? The Chesterfield Aquatic League will be livestreaming all four CHAMPS sessions. Watch here:https://swimrva.vhx.tv/products/2026-cal-champs

Before You Arrive
Please remember to:

  • Review the attached heat sheets and know your swimmer's events.
  • Write your swimmer's event information on their arm.
  • For 8 & Under swimmers: Please write your swimmer's full last name, first initial, and their Event/Heat/Lane on the back of their right shoulder to assist with Clerk of Course.
  • Arrive before warm-ups so swimmers can check in with the coaches.
  • Review the attached seating map. Collington swimmers will be seated on the competition pool deck, while spectators must remain in the upstairs viewing area. Please note that parents are not permitted on the pool deck. Arrive early if you'd like a good seat—the stands fill quickly!
  • Bring plenty of water, towels, and anything your swimmer may need throughout the session.
  • Wear your tie-dye and show off your Barracuda spirit!

Volunteers
A huge thank you to everyone who signed up to volunteer during CHAMPS! Your willingness to help is what makes this championship meet possible.

Please be sure to check your email for your volunteer assignment details. Every volunteer received an email yesterday with important information specific to their session and volunteer position, including directions, responsibilities, check-in instructions, and other helpful reminders.

When you arrive, please check in with Coach Melanie at the front entrance to receive your volunteer badge before reporting to your assignment.
