Tomorrow's Meet at Foxcroft – Important Information 🇺🇸
Hello Barracuda Families,
Tomorrow we travel to Foxcroft for another exciting evening of summer swim! Heat sheet for tomorrow evening is attached. Please take a few minutes to review the information below, as there are a few important updates regarding parking, spectator seating, and the potential for inclement weather.
LOCATION
Foxcroft FAST Fins Pool
15100 Fox Club Pkwy, Midlothian, VA 23112
There is VERY little parking available on-site. Read the below information regarding parking and the shuttle service. Our recommendation is to park directly at Millwood School and take the free shuttle.
Please refer to the attached facility map for team seating and spectator areas.
PARKING & SHUTTLE (PLEASE READ!)
Foxcroft has a very small parking lot, and once it fills, all remaining parking must be at Millwood School. Please do not park on Foxcroft Parkway or in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Millwood School15100 Millwood School Lane, Midlothian, VA 23112
The first shuttle begins running at 5:00 p.m. The shuttle runs continuously throughout the meet and will not stop until all spectators—including post-meet volunteers—have returned to their vehicles. The larger shuttle buses can accommodate chairs, coolers, and other meet-day gear, so there's no need to worry about carrying everything. Please plan to arrive early to allow time for parking and riding the shuttle.
Foxcroft's shuttle system receives rave reviews every year, so don't stress—it is the fastest and easiest way to get to the meet!

MEET LOGISTICS AND SPECTATOR SEATING
- Please review the attached heat sheet so you know your swimmer's events.
- Please refer to the attached facility map for designated spectator seating. The pool deck is reserved for athletes and designated pool deck volunteers. Spectators are welcome to come onto the deck to cheer, but please do not bring chairs, large coolers, tents, or canopies onto the pool deck. Designated spectator seating areas are well shaded, so there is no need to bring large tents.
- The Clerk of Course is located by the diving well.
- Write your swimmer's last name on the back of their shoulder and their event information on their hand or arm with a Sharpie before arriving. This helps volunteers, clerks, and swimmers stay organized throughout the meet.
- Please remember to report any swimmer absences to Coach Melanie as soon as possible if your plans have changed.
- Parents and volunteers are not permitted to film or record video from behind the starting blocks.
WEATHER REMINDERS
There is a chance for inclement weather tomorrow evening. If weather impacts the meet, both teams will communicate any delays or cancellations. Please make sure your SwimTopia notifications are turned ON so you don't miss important updates.
Foxcroft follows CAL weather procedures:
- The pool deck will be cleared for 30 minutes after the last rumble of thunder or 40 minutes if lightning is in the area.
- Spectators may remain on the clubhouse deck or in designated grassy spectator areas as long as conditions remain safe.
- The shuttle buses will be available to transport families back to Millwood School quickly if needed.
Thank you in advance for your patience if weather becomes a factor—we're all in this together!
PARENT/COACH RELAYS
Foxcroft will host Parent & Coach Relays midway through the meet, and Collington families are invited to join the fun! We're looking for a few more parents to participate. Email [email protected] or sign up today in the SwimTopia app!
VOLUNTEER REMINDERS
Thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer! All volunteers must check in at the Collington volunteer table in front of the Foxcroft clubhouse BEFORE the meet begins, regardless of whether you are working first half or second half. Upon check-in, you will receive your volunteer name tag and any additional instructions for your position.
If you are serving as a Timer or on the Strokes & Turns team, please plan to attend the corresponding informational meeting at 6:10 p.m. This is required for all volunteers in those positions, even if you have volunteered in that role before.
SPIRIT THEME: USA NIGHT! 🇺🇸
Wear your best red, white, and blue! Stars, stripes, patriotic gear, flag shirts, bows, hats—we want to see the pool deck overflowing with American spirit and Barracuda pride!
FOOD & TREATS
- Foxcroft’s clubhouse concessions will be serving subs, hot dogs, pasta salad, fruit cups, drinks, and more and will be available for the duration of the meet. The concession stand only accepts cash or Venmo.
- Fireside Pizza food truck, Richmond's Neapolitan-style pizza truck, will be firing fresh pies from 5:30 until 8 p.m.
- Good Vices food truck will be on site from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. serving premium, dairy-free, Italian ice, made with real fruit.
MARBLE WAR UPDATE!
The race is getting intense! Coach Grant has pulled into the lead, but Coach Emily is right behind him—it's a VERY, VERY close race!Every marble counts, and the leaderboard could change at any meet.
Stop by the volunteer table in front of the clubhouse to purchase marbles (2 for $1) and help your favorite coach climb the leaderboard. Remember, the coach with the most marbles at the end of the season will be PIED IN THE FACE at our End-of-Season Social!
Don’t forget: Turn in your heat winner ribbon to receive one Marble War marble to place in the coach's bucket of your choice. Every heat winner gets to help their favorite coach in the Marble War!
HEADS UP!
A friendly reminder that next week's final meet will be held on Monday instead of our usual Tuesday evening. The schedule shifts to Monday to give everyone time to prepare for CHAMPS the following week. Be sure to mark your calendars now!
Please remember to report any swimmer absences to Coach Melanie as soon as possible if your plans have changed.
We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow for another great night of racing, cheering, and Barracuda spirit.
