Hello Barracuda Families,

Tomorrow is our first swim meet of the season, and we can't wait to kick things off against Bayhill Pointe!

LOCATION AND PARKING

Bayhill Pointe Pool
12630 Battlecreek Drive
Midlothian, VA 23112

Parking is available in the pool parking lot. Overflow parking is also available on the right side of Erika Hill Drive and on both sides of Battlecreek Drive beyond the pool crosswalk. Parking is not permitted on Battlecreek Drive adjacent to the median at the neighborhood entrance. A parking map is attached for reference. You can also visit their team page for more information.

MEET TIMELINE

• 5:40–6:00 p.m. Bayhill Pointe Warm-Ups
• 6:00–6:20 p.m. Collington Warm-Ups
• 6:10 p.m. Strokes & Turns Meeting
• 6:10 p.m. Timers Meeting
• 6:30 p.m. Meet Begins

Please arrive early enough to park, get settled, and have swimmers ready for warm-ups.

MEET LOGISTICS

• Please review the attached entry report from Coach Melanie so you know your swimmer's events.
• The Clerk of Course is located immediately to the left upon entering the facility near the clubhouse entrance.
• Write your swimmer's last name on the back of their shoulder and their event information on their hand or arm with a Sharpie before arriving. This helps volunteers, clerks, and swimmers stay organized throughout the meet.
• Please remember to report any swimmer absences to Coach Melanie as soon as possible if your plans have changed.

VOLUNTEER REMINDERS

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer! All volunteers must check in at the Collington volunteer table BEFORE the meet begins, regardless of whether you are working first half or second half. Upon check-in, you will receive your volunteer name tag and any additional instructions for your position.

If you are serving as a Timer or on the Strokes & Turns team, please plan to attend the corresponding informational meeting at 6:10 p.m. This is required for all volunteers in those positions, even if you have volunteered in that role before.

SPIRIT THEME: BLUE OUT 💙

Show your Barracuda pride by wearing as much BLUE as possible! Shirts, bows, hats, sunglasses, face paint — let's fill the pool deck with Collington blue.

Need a little extra Barracuda spirit? Stop by the Collington team table for swim caps ($8/$15), stickers ($2), magnets ($3), and temporary tattoos ($1). Payment accepted via cash, check, or Venmo (@CollingtonBarracudas). Let's make Bayhill see a sea of Barracuda blue!

MARBLE WAR IS BACK!

The Barracuda Marble War returns for another season of friendly competition! Support your favorite coach in the ultimate Barracuda showdown by purchasing marbles to add to their jar throughout the season. The coach with the most marbles at the end of the season will be PIED IN THE FACE at our End-of-Season Social! Marbles can be purchased at the Collington team table for 2 marbles for $1. Bring your spare change, pick your favorite coach, and help crown this year's Marble War champion!
